Lifting Temporal

Fox Eyes is the lift of the eyebrow tail for a more sensual and feminine look that returned to attention in late 2019 after being adopted by American model Bella Hadid. The less sad and heavy look can be achieved with padding, botulinum toxin, support wires or plastic surgery. In this type of brow lift, the outer edge is higher than the center, helping to open the eyes and contributing to facial harmony.

Few people know but there is a pattern for positioning the eyebrow. Classically, the eyebrow must be positioned on the orbital arch, that is, the bone above the eyes.
Knowing the normal anatomy of the eyebrows influences the application of Botox, tattooing and eyebrow waxing and obtaining a good post-surgical result.

The “normal” would be:

  • Line A: a line running from the nose wing to the lateral corner of the eyes must meet the end (tail) of the eyebrow;
  • Line B: a line perpendicular to the floor passing through the most lateral part of the iris (colored part of the eyes) should mark the highest part of the eyebrow;
  • Line C: a line perpendicular to the ground passing through the wing of the nose must coincide with the head, or beginning, of the eyebrow;
  • Line D: the beginning and end of the eyebrow should be practically on the same parallel line. This parameter is less “strict.

Points to consider for correct eyebrow position:
-When younger, women have a slightly higher eyebrow tail and this aspect gives them a more awake look and, some say, sensual. There are a few ways to achieve eyebrow tail lift through cosmetic procedures!

Lifting Temporal

The first surgery for lifting the eyebrows was developed by surgeon Salvador Castañares in 1964 to relieve the accumulation of skin on the eyelids, which often even covered the eyelashes.

Advances in medicine have allowed the same effect to be obtained with non-invasive procedures, which do not leave visible scars most of the time.
The ideal procedure for each patient can only be defined by the plastic surgeon after in-person evaluation, but it is important to understand how each one of them can be used to produce the Fox Eyes effect.
. The botulinum toxin applied to the center and inner region of the eyebrow relaxes this portion of the muscle while the outer end remains elevated.
.The support wire is applied under the skin producing a tension to position the outer portion of the eyebrow higher.
.The filling of the temporal region with hyaluronic acid can also be a great ally in the process of supporting the eyebrow tail and the volume of this region is essential for the longevity of any activity in the area!

Temporal lifting
It is the most widely used surgical procedure today for the surgical effect of fox eyes and eyebrow tail lift!
The procedure is performed through a small incision within the hair of approximately 5 cm through which the entire region is pulled and positioned upwards.

Lifting Temporal

The surgery lasts approximately 90 minutes and can be performed with local anesthesia and sedation when the patient is cooperative!
The stitches are inside the hair and are removed on average after 15 days!
There is usually no great associated pain and the use of dipyrone is usually enough!
Local edema especially in the first week when we recommend intense use of cold compress!
The return to usual activities will take place in about 1 week, without physical efforts or intense proximity to the value!
